    Rava Dhokla Recipe

    Rava Dhokla is one of my favourite snack. I have made a basic dhokla recipe before and it is quite popular one in this blog. This one is made using sooji and it tasted amazing.

    Rava Dhokla Recipe

    Dhokla is one of my favourite snack. I have made a basic dhokla recipe before and it is quite popular one in this blog. This one is made using sooji and it tasted amazing.

    It can be made in a instant and it taste amazing. Perfect with a cup of coffee or tea. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.

    Ingredients for Rava Dhokla

    • Sooji / Rava - 1 cup
    • Yogurt / Thick Curd - 1 cup
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar - 1 tsp
    • Ginger - 2 tsp grated
    • Lemon Juice - 2 tsp
    • Baking Soda / Cooking Soda - ½ tsp
    • Coriander leaves for garnishing
    • Coconut for garnishing

    Rava Dhokla Preparation

    • Take sooji in a blender and powder it lightly. Grease a heat safe pan with oil and set aside.
    • Take sooji, yogurt, salt, sugar, ginger and lemon juice in a bowl and mix well.
    • Add water as needed.
    • Add in baking soda and mix well.
    • Spoon this in the greased plate or pan and place this in steamer and steam cook for 15 to 20 mins.
    • Remove it and cool down for 5 mins. Now slice and set aside.
    • Now make seasoning, heat oil and crackle in all ingredients given for seasoning. Pour this over the dhokla and serve.
    • Garnish with coriander leaves and coconut and serve.

    Ingredients
      

    • Sooji / Rava - 1 cup

    • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - ½ tsp
    • Green Chilli - 1 chopped finely
    • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - ½ tsp
    • Sesame Seeds - 1 tsp
    • Curry leaves a sprig

    Instructions
     

    • Take sooji in a blender and powder it lightly. Grease a heat safe pan with oil and set aside.
    • Take sooji, yogurt, salt, sugar, ginger and lemon juice in a bowl and mix well.
    • Add water as needed.
    • Add in baking soda and mix well.
