Snowball Cookies Recipe

I am in love with this cookies, they are like perfect. Sweet, buttery, soft and really yummy. I made this yesterday and it got over immediately. It is so easy to put together as well. You just need a handful of ingredients to make this, you can make them any time as you like.

Preparation Time :10 mins
Baking Time : 16 to 18 mins
Makes : 15 to 20 cookies

Ingredients:
Soft Unsalted Butter – 100 grams
Sugar – 1/2 Cup / 100 grams Powdered
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1 cup / 120 grams
Cornflour / Cornstarch – 1.5 tblspn
Vanilla Essence – 1/2 tsp
Cashews – 1/2 cup chopped finely
Salt a pinch
Icing Sugar / Confectioners Sugar – 1 cup to roll cookies

Method:
Preheat oven to 170 Degree C.
Take butter, sugar, vanilla in a bowl and cream together. 
Add in cornflour and mix well. 
Add in cashews and mix well.
Add in salt, flour and mix well. Knead it to a soft dough.
Now take small portion and roll them into smooth balls. 
Arrange it in a parchment lined baking tray and bake for 16 to 18 mins
Remove it and let it cool for a bit. Now roll the warm cookies in icing sugar and place it in a tray. Once it is cooled completely i rolled it again in sugar.
Store it in a air tight container.
Serve

Pictorial:
Take all your ingredients

Take sugar in a blender
Powder it finely
Take soft unsalted butter in a bowl

Add in powdered sugar

along with a splash of vanilla

cream it

add in cornflour

cream again

Now add in chopped nuts

mix that as well

Add in flour

and a dash of salt

mix well

knead it to a soft dough

Line a baking tray with parchment paper

take a small portion of dough

roll it into a smooth ball

arrange it in a baking tray and bake it

leave it to cool till it get warm

take some icing sugar in a plate

roll the warm cookies in sugar

coat it well

I took the cookies again and rolled it in sugar again

    What you meant parchment paper and wax paper??? Is it butter paper????

    Dear arts,
    Can we skip cornflour?
    If we cant alternative pls… wats the use of cornflour here?
    does it sticks? Parchment paper must???

    @aarthi dhanrajcornflour gives the melt in mouth texture. dont skip that. use foil instead of parchment

    Can i bake this at 160 Deg as i dont have 170 deg in my oven.Also can we roll the cookies in normal powdered sugar instead of icing sugar?

    @Anonymousyes u can bake at 160 degree for first few mins then increase it to 180 and bake
