I arrived from chennai early today. Super Chef Chennai was amazing, even though i didn't get selected for the final. I really feel proud that i got chosen in the top 24. I can't wait for the next season.

    This
recipe is new to me. I found some strawberries lying in the fridge,
thought to do something special out of it. So i did some research and
came across this recipe..This was the first time i ever tried a
clafouti, i was a kind of excited to see how the results would be. When it finished baking, the clafouti was amazing, it is creamy and sweet and custardy and totally yummy

So here you go to the recipe and let me know how it turned out for you..

    Preparation Time : 10 mins
    Baking Time : 30 mins
Serves : 2 or 1 if you can't stop with one bowl
    Recipe Source: Chefdehome

    Ingredients:

    Egg - 1
Butter - 1.5 tblspn melted + extra for brushing ramekins
All Purpose Flour / Maida - 2 tblspn + extra for dusting ramekins
    Cream / Heavy Cream  - ½ cup
    Sugar - 3 tblspn
    Strawberry - 10
    Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Icing Sugar / Confectioners Sugar for dusting on top

    Method:

    Preheat the oven to 200 Degree C / 400 Degree F.

Take a couple of ramekins, drizzle some some butter in and dust it with some flour. Tap it so the flour coats on all sides. Set aside till use.

Now take a bowl. Crack a egg and sprinkle some sugar and vanilla essence. Mix well so the sugar is dissolved.

Now add in cream and mix well.

Now pour this over the flour and mix well. I added flour to this batter, so lumps were formed. So you add wet ingredients slowly over the flour and keep mixing. So no lumps will be formed.

Drop few strawberries in the ramekins. Divide the batter between the two ramekins.

Bake for 30 mins till golden and puffy.

While serving, dust it with some icing sugar and serve.
