Ingredients
- Ghee - 2 tblsp
- Cardamom / Yelakai - 2
- Cloves / Krambu - 2
- Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 piece
- Bay Leaf - 1
- Onion - 1 sliced thinly
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tblsp
- Carrot - 1 chopped finely
- Beans - 5 chopped
- Peas - 1/4 cup
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Basmati Rice - 1/2 cup
- Water - 1 1/4 cup
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.
- Add in whole spices. Add in onions and saute for a min.
- Add in ginger garlic paste and mix well.
- Add in veggies, salt and spice powders and mix well.
- Add in rice and mix well.
- Add in water and bring it to a boil.
- Cover and pressure cooker for 1 whistle.
- Let the steam escape by itself.
- Fluff up the rice and serve.
