Is there anyone out there, who hate a good bowl of pasta..I hope no one..This pasta is another addition to my list of pasta recipes in this blog. It has a yummy homemade pasta sauce, grilled spicy chicken pieces, flavourful sauted veggies all combined with a giant pasta curls. I saw that trottole pasta on my supermarket shelves, i loved the shape of it. So immediately took one packet. But honestly speaking, i will never buy it again, it is so large and takes a longer time to cook. I think that a normal size pasta taste better than this gigantic pasta. So it is upto you.
I used my homemade tomato sauce for this, you could either make it yourselves or buy a jar(i hope you wont). And if you are vegetarian, you can skip the chicken part in this recipe and make it only with vegetables. so try this dish and let me know how it turned out..
Preparation Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 40 to 45 mins
Serves : 3 to 4
Pasta - 1.5 cup ( I used Trottole, You could use anything )
Olive Oil - 5 tblspn
Onion - 1 medium sliced
Bell Pepper / Capsicum - 1 large sliced ( I used green, yellow, red)
Zucchini - 1 small chopped
Garlic - 6 cloves chopped
Chilli flakes - 2 tsp
Oregano - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Pasta Sauce - 2 cup ( HOMEMADE)
Chicken Breast - 250 grams
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Boil lots of water, Once it reaches a boil add salt in it. Now add the pasta to boiling water and cook as mentioned in package. Drain and set aside.
Mix all the ingredients given in the marination over the chicken. Set aside for 5 mins.
Now take a pan in which you will make the entire pasta dish. Heat oil in it, place the chicken over this and cook for 6 mins on one side, flip over and cook for 5 more mins on other side.Remove it to a plate and slice it into small pieces.
Now in the remaining oil, add onion, peppers, zuchinni and toss well.
Add in garlic, salt, sugar, oregano and chilli flakes. Mix well with the veggies and cook for 4 mins.
Add the cooked pasta and toss well with the veggies.
Add the pasta sauce and chicken. Mix that through. Let it all heat for a good 5 mins.

|Cook till done|
|Drain and set aside|
|Take chicken along with spice powders|
|Mix them around the chicken and marinate it|
|Heat oil in a pan in which you will make pasta|
|Place the chicken and cook for 6 mins on one side|
|Flip over and cook for 5 more mins|
|Remove to a plate|
|Cut them into small pieces|
|Now in the remaining oil|
|Add onions, zuchini and bell pepper|
|Mix them well|
|Add garlic, chilli flakes, salt, oregano|
|Cook them for a couple of mins|
|Add cooked pasta|
|Toss well in the masala|
|Add in the pasta sauce|
|Add the chicken|
