Healthy whole wheat beetroot cake which is made without maida, butter. This whole wheat beetroot cake is best for kids and people who are in diet.

Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Beetroot peeled and chopped
  • ¾ cup Sugar 150 grams
  • cup Wheat Flour 180 grams
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup Oil 120 ml
  • ¼ cup Cocoa Powder 25 grams
  • ¼ cup Chocolate chips as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180 degree C.
  • LIne a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Take all ingredients except wheat flour and baking soda in a blender and puree till smooth.
  • Add wheat flour, baking soda and mix gently.
  • Add choco chips and mix.
  • Pour into baking pan and Top with more chocolate chips if needed.
  • Bake for 30 to 40 mins.
  • Remove and cool completely.
  • Slice and serve.

Notes

  • Grind all the ingredients except wheat flour and baking soda in a blender. Dont grind once wheat flour is added else it will make the cake dense.
  • You can try adding flax egg instead of regular eggs. Mix 1 tblsp of flax seed powder with 3 tblsp of water. This is equal to 1 egg.
  • You can add any chopped nuts or dried fruits in this too.
