Ingredients
▢
Gingelly Oil - 3 tblsp
▢
Vadakam - 5 pieces
▢
Fenugreek seeds / Vendayam - ¼ tsp
▢
Curry Leaves - a handful
▢
Shallots - 10 peeled
▢
Garlic - 20 cloves peeled
▢
Sambar Powder - 3 tblsp
▢
Tamarind - 1 small lemon size
▢
Salt to taste
▢
Jaggery - 1 tsp
FOR GRINDING:
▢
Coconut - ½ cup
▢
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
▢
Garlic - 3 cloves
▢
Green Chillies - 2
Instructions
▢
Grind ingredients given for grinding to a coarse paste.
▢
Heat oil and fry fenugreek seeds and vadagam.
▢
Add curry leaves, shallots and garlic.
▢
Add sambar powder and mix well.
▢
Add tamarind paste and water.
▢
Then add in coconut paste and mix well. Add salt and jaggery and mix well.
▢
Simmer for 10 mins.
▢
Serve.
