Carrot Cheese White Sauce Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 large Carrot grated
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli chopped
  • 3 tbsp Wheat flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Cheese grated
  • 8 Bread slice
  • 4 tbsp Tomato Ketchup

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tbsp butter. Add in carrot, onion and green chillies. Saute for a minute. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 more tbsp butter. Add in flour. Stir fry for 1 min.
  • Add in milk slowly and keep mixing till thick.
  • Add in carrot back in along with salt, pepper and italian seasoning. Mix well.
  • Now take bread slice, spread with ketchup. Top with some filling, sprinkle more cheese. Cover with another bread slice.
  • Melt butter in a sandwich maker. Place sandwich in, spread more butter on top. Cover and grill till golden.
  • Slice and serve.

Notes

  • You can use brown bread or white bread as you prefer.
  • Cheese is optional in this recipe. You can skip if you want.
  • Use grill sandwich maker or sandwich toaster to make this sandwich.
  • You could use any vegetables as you like.
  • Make the filling a day ahead and store in fridge until needed.
