  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • a pinch Salt

Chocolate Pudding Using Custard Powder

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 3 tbsp Cocoa
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Custard powder
  • ½ cup Dark Chocolate chopped
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup Cream

Instructions

Chocolate Pudding using Corn Flour

  • Take all the ingredients except milk in a bowl and use a whisk to mix well. Add milk slowly and mix till no lumps is formed.
  • Now pour this entire mix into a sauce pan and heat on very low heat till it gets thick and creamy. It will take 5 mins or so. Now remove it from heat and cool it a bit while you mix every now and then, so a crust is not formed.
  • Pour it into serving glasses and serve warm or chill it for a hour. Serve.

Chocolate Pudding using Custard Powder

  • Take custard powder, cocoa powder in a bowl and add in ¼ cup of milk and mix well. Set aside.
  • Take milk and sugar in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil. Now add in the custard powder mix and whisk well. Whisk till creamy and thick. Remove it from heat and set aside to cool a bit.
  • Now whip up some cream with confectioners sugar till thick. Add half of the cream in the cooled custard mix and fold gently.
  • Spoon this into individual bowl and Top with the remaining whipped cream and sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Put this in fridge overnight and serve.

Notes

  • Instead of whole milk, you can use half cream and half milk for more rich taste.
  • If you are vegan, you can opt for using any plant based milk like almond milk, oat milk, soy milk.
  • You can use any chocolate that you like. Semi sweet, milk, dark can be used.
  • Sugar can be added more or less depending on your taste.
  • The pudding set as it chills in fridge, so make this a day ahead before serving.
  • Make sure you mix the cornstarch or custard powder with milk till smooth before cooking so no lumps are formed.
  • I enjoyed it warm, but if you are serving cold, you have to cover the top layer of the pudding with a plastic wrap so no skin form on top.
