Pottukadalai Chutney Recipe | Udacha Kadalai Chutney

Ingredients
▢
Fresh Coconut - 1 cup grated packed measured
▢
Roasted Gram Dal / Pori Kadalai / Pottu Kadalai - ½ cup
▢
Green Chillies - 2
▢
Salt to taste
▢
Water as needed
▢
For Seasoning:
▢
Coconut Oil - 1 tsp
▢
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - ½ tsp
▢
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - ½ tsp
▢
Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya podi - a pinch
▢
Curry Leaves - a sprig
Instructions
▢
Take all ingredients in a blender and make it into a fine puree by adding some water.
▢
Pour that into a bowl and adjust the consistency with water.
▢
Make seasoning by heating oil and crackling mustard, urad dal, asafoetida and curry leaves. Pour this over the curry and mix well.
▢
Serve with idly or dosa.
