Onion Rava Dosa Recipe

Onion Rava Dosa is a popular breakfast option which is made using semolina, onion and wheat flour. The batter is made into a runny batter and made into crispy dosa.

Ingredients

  • Sooji / Rava - ½ cup
  • Rice Flour - ½ cup
  • Wheat Flour / Atta - ¼ cup
  • Black Pepper - 1 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves a handful
  • Ginger - 2 tsp chopped finely
  • Green Chillies - 1 chopped finely
  • Onion - ½ cup chopped finely
  • Coriander leaves a handful chopped finely
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for pan frying

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients except oil to a smooth batter. Let it sir for 10 mins.
  • Now add more water to make the batter very liquidy.
  • Now heat a dosa pan. Pour a ladleful of batter from a height so it forms lots of holes.
  • Now sprinkle onions and coriander leaves on top. Drizzle with oil and let it cook on medium flame till it crisp up.
  • Now fold and serve.
