Eggless Orange Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup / 120 grams
  • Oil - ¼ cup Use normal vegetable oil
  • Sugar - ½ cup / 100 grams
  • Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
  • Orange Essence - ¼ tsp optional
  • Baking Soda / Cooking Soda - ½ tsp
  • Baking Powder - ½ tsp
  • Orange Pulp - ½ cup
  • Thick Unsour Curd / Greek Yogurt - ⅓ cup

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180 Degree C.
  • Take a 10 cm round cake pan, oil them well, sprinkle with flour, coat on all sides, tap of the excess. Set aside.
  • Sieve flour, baking soda, baking powder well and set aside.
  • Take oil, sugar, vanilla essence, orange essence, orange pulp, curd in a bowl and mix well.
  • Add in the sifted dry ingredients and fold gently.
  • Pour this into the pan and bake it for 30 to 40 mins.
  • Remove the cake, insert a tooth pick and check whether it is done. If the tooth pick comes out clean then it is done.
  • Remove the cake pan from oven, let it cool down for 30 mins.
  • Invert and slice and serve.
