Ingredients

  • Butter - 3 tblspn
  • Cardamom - 5 to 6 pods crushed
  • Tomatoes - 3 chopped finely
  • Tomato Puree - ½ cup
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • Green Chillies - 5 chopped finely
  • Coriander Powder / Malli Podi - 2 tsp
  • Cumin Powder / Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp
  • Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Chicken - 500 grams
  • Cornflour / Cornstarch - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped

Instructions

  • Heat butter in a pan, add in cardamom and fry them for few mins.
  • Now add in tomatoes, green chillies and mix well. Add in ginger garlic paste and pureed tomatoes. Add in salt, sugar. spice powder and cook everything till oil separates.
  • Now add in chicken and mix well. Toss the chicken in the masala till it is well coated.
  • Pour in little water and cook covered on a low heat till the chicken is completely cooked through for about 30 mins.
  • Mix cornflour with little water. Add this to the curry and Mix well.
  • Add coriander leaves and serve.
