Spinach Muthia Recipe with step by step pictures. This recipe is prepared using spinach, gram flour and wheat flour. It can be made with cabbage, carrots, zucchini as well.

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 2 cups Spinach
  • ½ cup Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Maavu
  • ¼ cup Wheat Flour / Atta
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
  • ¼ tsp Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Water
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds optional

Instructions

  • Take all the ingredients except ghee and sesame seeds in a bowl and mix well to a sticky dough.
  • Now grease your hands and take small portion from it and shape it into dumpling.
  • Place it in a greased steamer plate and steam for 8 to 10 mins on low heat.
  • Now remove it and set aside.
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add these dumplings and saute for 2 mins till it gets little crispy, now sprinkle sesame seeds and toss well.
  • Serve.
