Ingredients

  • Yogurt / Curd - 1 cup
  • Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu - 2 tblspn
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
  • Water - 1 cup
  • For Grinding:
  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Ginger - 4 cm piece
  • For Seasoning:
  • Oil - 2 tblspn
  • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon / Pattai - 3 cm piece
  • Cloves / Krambu - 3
  • Dry Red Chillies - 2 broken
  • Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya podi - ¼ tsp

Instructions

  • Take green chilli and ginger in a blender and puree till smooth.
  • Take yogurt, gram flour, the puree and whisk well. Add water and whisk well.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Add all seasoning ingredients and let it sizzle.
  • Add in yogurt mix and bring it to a boil. Boil it for 2 to 3 mins.
  • Add in salt, sugar and mix well.
  • Add in coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Serve.
