Chocolate Burfi Recipe

Chocolate Burfi recipe with step by step pictures. This is a two layered burfi recipe which is prepared as the bottom layer is plain khoya barfi while the top layer is cocoa-flavored chocolate burfi.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Khoya / Mawa
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tbsp Chocolate Chips
  • ½ tsp + ½ tsp Ghee

Instructions

  • Take ½ tsp ghee in a plate and grease it well. Set aside.
  • Now in a nonstick pan, take the remaining ½ tsp ghee and melt it, add in khoya and sugar and mix well.
  • Cook this on medium heat till it comes together as a mass and leaves the sides of the pan. Switch off the flame.
  • Divide it into two portion, Spoon the white portion in the plate and spread it evenly.
  • Now in the remaining portion, add in cocoa powder and chocolate chips and mix well till the chocolate melts..Dont need to heat this..the residual heat from the khoya will melt the chocolate.
  • Now spoon this over the khoya mix and spread evenly.
  • Let this set till it cools. Cut into squares and serve
