Marinate the chicken with turmeric and ginger garlic paste for 15 mins..set this aside for a minute.
Grind coconut and cashews to a smooth paste by adding some water.
Heat oil in a kadai..Add in cardamom, cinnamon, cumin seeds and red chillies.
Add in onions and fry till golden. In goes ginger and garlic paste and mix well..
Now add in tomatoes and cook till oil separates..
Now add in chilli and coriander powder..Pour in the blender masala and mix well..
In a separate frying pan and oil and fry some curry leaves in..Add in the marinated chicken in this oil and sear on all sides...Remove this and set aside..
Now add this chicken pieces in the gravy and mix well..
Add required amount of water and bring that to boil..Season with salt...
