1mediumPineapple yields 4 cups of pineapple chunks
2cupsSugar
apinchYellow Food Colouring
2tbspLemon Juice
1tspPineapple Extractoptional
Instructions
Peel and chop pineapple cubes. Take them in a blender and make them into a coarse puree.
Now pour them in kadai, add in sugar and mix well. Heat it up. Cook them for 10 to 15 mins or so till the sugar is dissolved and get little thick. Now add in food colouring and mix well. Switch off the flame and add in the lemon juice. Mix well.
Allow it so it cool down completely. Now take a clean dry glass jar and store this jam in it. Enjoy with warm buttered toast or as a sandwich.

Pick ripe juicy pineapple for making jam which makes the jam aromatic and tasty.
You can use unrefined sugar or brown sugar for making pineapple jam. It will change the colour but it is a healthy option.
Food colouring and extracts are optional.
You can add chopped pineapple into the pineapple puree when cooking jam for chunky texture.
Always store jam in clean, dry, air tight bottle in fridge. Use dry spoon when handling jam.
Storage & Serving
You can store this at room temperature for 2 to 3 days. It can be stored in fridge for 2 to 3 months. You can enjoy this jam with toasted bread with some butter.Make french toast roll ups, jam sandwich, PB&J and Fruit Sandwich
