Ingredients

cups
Idli Batter
▢
Oil as needed for making paniyaram
▢
For Seasoning:
▢

Oil

Mustard Seeds / Kaduku
▢

Urad Dal / Ulundu Paruppu
▢
Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi - a pinch
▢
Curry Leaves a sprig
▢

chopped finely Shallots / Sambar Onion

chopped finely Green Chilli
▢

finely chopped Ginger
▢

cup
grated Coconut
▢
Coriander leaves a handful chopped finely

Salt to taste
Instructions
▢
Heat oil in a pan, add in mustard and urad dal. let them splatter.
▢
Add in asafoetida, curry leaves and mix well.
▢
Now add in onions, ginger, green chillies, salt and saute for 2 mins.
▢
Add in coconut and coriander leaves. Toss well.
▢
Then add this to idli batter. Mix well.
▢
Heat a kuzhi paniyaram pan with some oil. POur batter in and cook on low flame till it crisp up a little.
▢
Now flip over and cook.
▢
Remove and serve.
