Ingredients

  • 2 cups dry Legumes I used green peas, kidney beans,soy beans and black eyed peas
  • 3 to 4 tbsp Gujarati Fresh Masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • Coriander leaves a big handful

Instructions

  • Wash and soak the beans overnight. Now drain the water and add it to a pressure cooker.
  • Pressure cook for 4 whistle, simmer the flame and cook on low heat for 10 to 15 mins.
  • Turn off the heat and let the steam escape all by itself. Open the cooker, transfer the mix to a bowl and set aside.
  • In the same cooker, add in the fresh masala and cook till oil separates.
  • Add in the cooked beans along with the cooking liquid.
  • Add in salt and sugar and mix well.
  • Simmer the pot and cook on low heat for 10 mins.
  • Turn off the heat and add in lots of chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve.
