Ingredients

  • 8 Banana Peppers
  • 1 tbsp + 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
  • 1 medium size Onion chopped finely
  • 1 cup Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder / Malli Podi
  • 1.5 tsp Amchoor Powder / Dry Mango Powder
  • Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped
  • Water a splash

Instructions

  • Take your peppers, make a slit in the middle, remove the seeds and membrane. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 tblspn oil in a kadai. Add in cumin seeds and let them sizzle, now add in onions along with some salt, saute for a min or so.
  • Now add in gram flour and saute for 5 mins or so.
  • Add in the spice powders and mix well.
  • Now add in coriander leaves and give a toss.
  • Remove this to a bowl and sprinkle some water over and mix well.
  • Stuff this into the peppers.
  • Heat some oil in a pan and place the peppers, cover and cook for 5 mins on each side.
  • Remove and serve.
