Spinach Mushroom Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients

  • 10 to 12 Lasagna Sheets I used homemade, cook it first
  • ½ cup grated Cheese i used mozarella
  • Parsley finely chopped as needed
  • For Filling:
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 5 cloves Garlic chopped finely
  • 1 medium size Onions chopped finely
  • 200 grams Mushrooms chopped finely
  • 3 cups Spinach chopped finely
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • ½ cup Water - ½ cup
  • For White Sauce:
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 4 tbsp All Purpose Flour / Maida
  • ½ liter Milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper or Red Chilli flakes to taste
  • 1 cup Cheese grated i used mozzarella

Instructions

  • Start by cooking lasagna, boil lots of water, add salt and drop pasta in boiling water and cook for 3 to 4 mins. Drain it lay it in a plate.
  • Start by making the filling. Heat butter in a pan, add in garlic and onions. Saute for a min.
  • Add in mushrooms and give a quick toss, add in spinach and saute till it wilts and raw smell leaves from it.
  • Add in salt, red chilli flakes and italian seasoning. Give a mix. Add in water and bring it to a boil. Set aside.
  • Now make the white sauce. Heat butter and flour in a pan and mix well for 2 mins or so.
  • Add in milk slowly and keep whisking so no lumps are formed. Now keep whisking till it get thick.
  • Add in salt, pepper or chilli flakes and cheese. Mix well Sauce done.
  • Preheat oven to 180 degree C.
  • Now take the baking pan and spoon some spinach filling in the bottom.
  • Lay pasta sheets and spoon some more spinach filling, now spoon over some white sauce and lay pasta sheets..
  • Repeat this till you end up with pasta sheet. Now spoon a final layer of cheese sauce and grate lots of cheese on top.
  • Sprinkle parsley over it and Pop this in oven and bake for 40 to 45 mins.
  • Remove it from oven and let it stand for 15 mins before slicing and serving.
