Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp All Purpose Flour / Maida
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 ¼ cups grated or cubed Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ tsp Chilli Powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Nacho Crisp or Corn Chips for serving

Instructions

  • Heat butter in a pan, add in flour and mix well cook till raw smell leaves from it.
  • Add in milk and whisk well so no lumps are formed. Now cook this till the sauce thickens lightly.
  • Add in chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well. Cook this for a min or so.
  • Now add in cheese and mix well, the cheese will melt down slowly.
  • Keep mixing till it gets smooth and silky. Add salt to taste.
  • Pour into small bowls and serve with chips.
  • The cheese sauce will thicken as it stands by, if it gets thick, add little more hot milk and mix well to get the right consistency.
