Ingredients

  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 5 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 2 tbsp Toor Dal
  • 6 Dry Red Chilli
  • 10 cloves Garlic
  • 1 lime size Tamarind
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tsp of oil in a heavy bottom pan..Add in toor dal and fry till golden.Remove and set aside.
  • Heat 1 tsp of oil and add in coriander seeds..Fry till golden.Remove and set aside.
  • Now fry dry chillies in the kadai till golden.Remove and set aside.
  • Now add 1 tsp of oil and add in coconut and fry till it turns dark golden..Remove this and put it in a separate bowl.
  • Allow everything to cool down.
  • Take the fried chillies, coriander seeds and toor dal in a blender and make in to a powder.
  • Now add in garlic, tamarind, curry leaves and salt and powder it again.
  • Now add in fried coconut and make into a fine powder.
  • Let this cool down. Store this in air tight container.
  • Enjoy this with curd rice or dosa.
  • You can store this air tight container for upto 1 month. If you are storing it in refrigerator it last upto 6 months..
