For Sambar:
▢

large sliced or 10 peeled Onions or Shallots
▢

slit Green Chillies
▢

large Tomatoes chopped

peeled and cubed Potato

Carrot chopped
▢

Beans chopped

small Cucumber chopped

Ladies Finger / Okra chopped

grated Coconut and ground with water
▢
Coriander leaves a handful chopped
▢
Water as needed
Instructions
▢
Cook dal with turmeric and water till done. Mash well and set aside.
▢
Heat oil in a pan, add all seasoning ingredients and let them sizzle.
▢
Add in onions, chillies and tomatoes mix well.
▢
Now add in all the veggies and toss well. Sprinkle little salt and sugar. Mix well.
▢
Add in the spice powders and mix well.
▢
Pour in water, tamarind water and mix well. Cook till the veggies are done.
▢
Add in dal and coconut mix. Mix well and simmer for few more mins.
▢
Add in coriander leaves and mix well
▢
serve.
