Whole Wheat Burger Buns Recipe with step by step pictures. Delicious soft buns made with whole wheat flour, yeast, water. Basic burger buns which is made whole wheat. This is an eggless version of wheat buns.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Dry Yeast
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 3 tbsp Butter melted
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Take warm water in a bowl. Add in yeast, sugar and let it sit and activate for 5 mins. It will get foamy and bubbly.
  • Take wheat flour in a Stand mixer bowl. Add in salt and mix well.
  • Add in yeast water, milk, melted butter and place it on the stand mixer and let it knead on low to medium speed for 10 mins. Scrape the bowl in-between for even mixing.
  • Once the dough comes together. Shape it into a smooth ball. Cover and let it rest for 1 hour till doubled in size.
  • Now divide the dough into equal portion and shape into a smooth ball.
  • Place on a parchment lined baking tray and flatten each dough ball. Cover and let it rise for another 30 to 45 mins.
  • During the last 10 mins of rising. Preheat oven to 200 degree C.
  • Brush top with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 17 mins.
  • Remove and brush top with melted butter.
  • Cool this for 10 mins and serve.
