Ingredients

  • 1 large Onion finely chopped
  • 10 Green Chillies finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp Tamarind Pulp
  • 2 tbsp Jaggery
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves chopped finely
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Add in mustard seeds and allow them to pop.
  • Now add in curry leaves and saute for a min.
  • Add in the onions and salt and saute till they turn golden.
  • Add in the green chillies and saute for couple of mins.
  • Now add the tamarind pulp and some water. Bring this to boil.
  • Add in jaggery and cook this on a high heat till oil separates and the pachadi gets thick.
  • Serve with rice.
