Ingredients

  • 1 cup Wheat Flour
  • ½ cup Sooji
  • ½ cup Curd
  • 1 cup or as needed Water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Eno Fruit Salt if using baking soda, use ½ tsp
  • Oil as needed for frying paniyaram
  • For Seasoning:
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds / Kaduku
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
  • 1 medium size chopped finely Onions
  • Curry leaves a sprig
  • 1 chopped finely Green Chillies

Instructions

  • Take wheat flour, sooji, curd, salt in a bowl. Add water slowly to make a little thick batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add in all the ingredients given for seasoning. Fry for a min.
  • Pour this over the batter and mix well.
  • Now add in eno fruit salt and mix well. It will get frothy now.
  • Heat your paniyaram pan with oil. Spoon some batter in and fry till the bottom crisp up. Flip over and cook.
  • Remove and serve.
