Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup / 180 gms All Purpose Flour / Maida
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¾ cup / 150 gms + 50 gms for sprinkling Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 100 gms Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 large sliced Mango
  • 120 ml / ½ cup Mango Puree

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 160 Degree C / 320 Degree F.
  • Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together and set aside.
  • Take a square baking tray and grease it with butter. Sprinkle 50 gms of sugar over it.
  • Arrange the sliced mango pieces over the sugar and set aside.
  • Take butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl and beat it till creamy. Add in egg and mix well.
  • Pour in the pureed mangoes and mix well.
  • Now add in the sifted flour mixture and mix well.
  • Pour this over the mango arranged tray and bake it for 40-45 mins.
  • Remove the tray from oven and let it cool for 10 mins.
  • Invert it over a plate.
  • Slice and serve with icecream.
