Rose Milk Recipe | Homemade Rose Syrup Recipe

Ingredients

Rose Milk with Homemade Rose Syrup

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Water
  • 2 tsp Rose Extract
  • ½ tsp Pink Food colour
  • Vanilla Ice cream (optional)

Rose Milk with Homemade Beetroot Syrup

  • 2 Beetroots
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tsp Rose Extract

Instructions

Rose Milk with Homemade Rose Syrup

  • Start by making the syrup. Take sugar and water in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil. Stir till the sugar gets dissolved. Boil for 4 to 5 mins till the mixture turn syrupy. Take it off the heat and add in rose extract and pink food colour and mix well. Allow to cool completely. Now pour this into clean glass bottle and store in fridge and use accordingly.
  • Now to make the shake. Take milk in a blender. Add required amount of rose syrup. if you are using ice cream you can add a scoop at this point. Blend till frothy Pour into glasses and serve cold.

Rose Milk with Homemade Beetroot Syrup

  • Take beetroots and water in a blender and puree till smooth. Strain the juice. Now pour beetroot juice in a sauce pan, add sugar and boil for 5 to 6 mins till it gets syrupy. Now take it off the heat and add in rose extract. Now pour this into clean glass bottle and store in fridge and use accordingly.
  • When serving, mix required amount of syrup with cold milk and serve.

Notes

Milk - Use full fat milk which gives you creamy texture. Boil milk and then chill them in fridge.
Rose Syrup - add as much rose syrup as you prefer, the more syrup you use, the sweeter the drink will be.
Ice cream - a scoop of vanilla ice cream can be added over the rose milk. Rose milk with ice cream is a popular summer beverage option.
Ice cubes - If your milk is not chilled, adding ice cubes to rose milk when blending makes it creamy and thick.
