Ingredients

  • 1 cup Varagu / Kodo Millet
  • 3 cups Water
  • 10 cloves peeled Garlic
  • Curry Leaves a handful
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly Crushed Pepper to taste
  • 2 to 3 cups or as needed Boiled Milk

Instructions

  • Take varagu in a bowl and wash it really well. Now take it in pressure cooker, add in water, curry leaves, garlic and salt.
  • Cook for 3 whistle. Simmer it for 10 mins. Turn off the heat and let the steam go all by itself. Open the cooker and mix it well.
  • Add in milk and mix well. Adjust the milk quantity as you need.
  • Now pour kanji into a bowl and serve with a sprinkling of pepper and pickle.
  • Enjoy.
