Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • ¾ tsp Yeast
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Little less than ¾ cup Warm Water
  • 1 tsp Oil

Instructions

  • Take yeast, sugar and few tblspn of warm water in a bowl and mix well. Leave it to activate for 5 mins.
  • Take wheat flour, salt and oil in a bowl and mix well.
  • Add in warm water and the yeast water and knead it to a soft dough.
  • Cover it with a cloth and place it in a warm place. let it rise for 1 hour or 2 hours till it is double in size.
  • Now knock the air out, and knead it once. Cut it into a equal portions and shape them into rounds.
  • Take one round, dust it with more flour. Roll it into little thick  rounds.
  • Place it in hot tawa, cook for few sec till small bubbles forms on top, flip over and cook for few sec. Now flip the pita top side over hot tawa till it puffs up.
  • Now remove it to a plate. Cut it in half, and stuff it with any filling.
  • Serve.
