Ingredients

  • 3 cups Instant Oats
  • 1 cup Whole Flax Seeds
  • ¼ cup Almonds / Badam
  • ¼ cup Cashewnuts
  • 5 chopped finely Dried Apricots
  • ¼ cup Dried Cranberries
  • ¼ cup Sultanas / Kishmish
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar / Jaggery
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • ½ cup Honey
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 160 Degree C.
  • Take oats, flax seeds,almonds, cashews, cinnamon in a large mixing bowl . Toss well.
  • Now in a sauce pan, take butter, jaggery, honey, vanilla and heat it till it is melted.
  • Pour this over the oats mix and toss well.
  • Now grease a large baking sheet with high sides. Tip this mix in the tray and spread it evenly in a thin layer.
  • Now put this in a preheated oven for 30 to 35 mins, remove this every 10 mins from the oven and give a good mix and put it back in the oven..
  • At one stage the oats will have turned crispy and not at all sticky.  Remove this from oven and add in dried apricots, cranberries, sultanas and mix well.
  • Now allow this mix to cool down and store in a air tight container.
  • Add hot milk or cold milk to this and enjoy, you can have it as it is too..
