Ingredients

  • For Ginger Syrup:
  • 1 cup Fresh Ginger grated packed
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • For Ginger Ale Makes one serving
  • 5 to 6 Icecubes
  • 1 to 2 tbsp or to taste Lemon Juice
  • Lemon Slices - a couple of pieces optional
  • 3 to 4 tbsp or to taste Ginger Syrup
  • 1 cup or as needed Soda Water or Cold Water

Instructions

  • Wash and peel ginger. Grate it using a coarse grater. You will need1 cup of packed grated ginger
  • Take this in a sauce pan. Add in 2 cups of water. Bring this to a boil. Simmer for mins.
  • Switch off the flame and let it sit for 30 mins.
  • Now strain this using a fine strainer.
  • Pour this back into the sauce pan. Add in sugar and bring it to boil. Mix well so the sugar is dissolved.
  • Now the ginger syrup is done. Allow this to cool down and store in a clean dry bottle. Keep refrigerated.
  • Now make ginger ale. Take a glass and add some icecubes in the bottom.
  • Squeeze in some lemon juice and throw in couple of lemon slices.
  • Pour some ginger syrup. Fill with soda water, mix well.
  • Serve cold.
