Ingredients
▢
Snake Gourd / Pudalangai - 1chopped finely
around 3 cups
▢
Onion - 1 small chopped finely
▢
Sambar Powder - 1 tblspn or to taste
▢
Salt to taste
▢
For Seasoning:
▢
Oil - 2 tblspn
▢
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
▢
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - 1 tsp
▢
Dry Red Chilli - 1
▢
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Instructions
▢
Heat oil in a kadai. Add in all the seasoning ingredients and let it crackle for a min.
▢
Add in onions and saute for a min till it turns translucent.
▢
Add in chopped snake gourd and saute for a couple of mins.
▢
Add in salt and sambar powder and saute well.
▢
Pour in a splash of water and cover the pan. Cook this for 5 -10 mins till the snake gourd is cooked.
▢
Now remove the lid and saute the poriyal on high heat for 5 mins.
▢
Serve with rice and any curry of your choice.
