Karupatti Kozhukattai Recipe

Delicious karupatti kolukattai which is not only easy to make but taste amazing. Make this for this ganesh chaturthi and everyone will love it.

  • Karupatti / Palm Jaggery - 1 cup
  • Water - 1 ½ cup
  • Rice Flour - 1.5 cup
  • Cardamom powder - ½ tsp
  • Dry Ginger Powder / Chukku Powder - 1 tsp
  • Coconut - ½ cup


  • Take palm jaggery and water in a sauce pan. Bring it to a boil. Strain it and take it in a wide pan.
  • Add coconut, cardamom and ginger powder. Mix well.
  • Once it comes to a boil. Add in rice flour and cook till it leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Remove it to a plate. Cool it completely.
  • Shape it into ball.
  • Arrange it in a steamer plate and steam for 10 mins.
  • Remove and serve.
