Vegetable Pulao for Kids

Ingredients

  • Ghee - 2 tblsp
  • Cardamom / Yelakai - 2
  • Cloves / Krambu - 2
  • Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 piece
  • Bay Leaf - 1
  • Onion - 1 sliced thinly
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tblsp
  • Carrot - 1 chopped finely
  • Beans - 5 chopped
  • Peas - ¼ cup
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Pepper Powder - ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Basmati Rice - ½ cup
  • Water - 1 ¼ cup

Instructions

  • Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.
  • Add in whole spices. Add in onions and saute for a min.
  • Add in ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  • Add in veggies, salt and spice powders and mix well.
  • Add in rice and mix well.
  • Add in water and bring it to a boil.
  • Cover and pressure cooker for 1 whistle.
  • Let the steam escape by itself.
  • Fluff up the rice and serve.
