Ingredients
▢
Oil - 3 tblsp
▢
Onion - 2 large chopped finely
▢
Tomato - 3 chopped finely
▢
Potato - 2 large peeled and cubed
▢
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
▢
Coriander Powder - 1 tblsp
▢
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
▢
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
▢
Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
▢
Salt to taste
FOR GRINDING:
▢
Coconut - ½ cup
▢
Roasted Gram Dal / Pori Kadalai - 2 tblsp
▢
Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf - 1 tsp
▢
Melon Seeds - 1 tblsp
Instructions
▢
Grind ingredients given for grinding to a smooth paste
▢
Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add onions and saute for 2 mins.
▢
Add tomatoes and cook till mushy.
▢
Add potatoes and mix well.
▢
Add in spice powders and salt.
▢
Add in coconut masala. Mix well.
▢
Add water and mix well.
▢
Cover and pressure cook for 3 whistle. Open the lid and mix well.
▢
Serve.
