Pazham pori is made from Ripe bananas(Nendram pazham or ethapazham ) or plantain. Plantains are sliced lengthwise and dipped in sweetened flour and then deep fried in oil. It is Famous south indian cuisine especially in Kerala.

Ripe Plantain / Nendrapazham

All Purpose Flour
▢

Sugar

Baking Soda
▢

Cardamom Powder

Yellow Food Colouring

Water as needed

Oil for Deep Frying
Instructions
▢
Take sugar and water in a bowl, mix well so the sugar is melted.
▢
Add in flour, baking soda, cardamom powder and food colour and make it into a smooth thick batter.
▢
Heat oil for deep frying.
▢
Now peel some ripe bananas and cut them into thick rounds. Dip it into the batter. Drop it in hot oil and fry till golden.
▢
Drain and serve.
