Pazham Pori Recipe | Ethakka Appam Recipe | Banana Fritters Recipe

Pazham pori is made from Ripe bananas(Nendram pazham or ethapazham ) or plantain. Plantains are sliced lengthwise and dipped in sweetened flour and then deep fried in oil. It is Famous south indian cuisine especially in Kerala.

Ingredients

  • 2 Ripe Plantain / Nendrapazham
  • ¾ cup All Purpose Flour
  • tbsp Sugar
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • tsp Yellow Food Colouring
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for Deep Frying

Instructions

  • Take sugar and water in a bowl, mix well so the sugar is melted.
  • Add in flour, baking soda, cardamom powder and food colour and make it into a smooth thick batter.
  • Heat oil for deep frying.
  • Now peel some ripe bananas and cut them into thick rounds. Dip it into the batter. Drop it in hot oil and fry till golden.
  • Drain and serve.
