Shahi Paneer | Restaurant Style Shahi Paneer Recipe

Ingredients

  • Paneer - 2 cups cubed
  • Oil - 3 tblspn
  • Cumin Seeds / Shahi Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 stick
  • Cardamom / Yelakai - 4 crushed
  • Cloves / Krambu - 4
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tblspn
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tblspn
  • Yogurt / Curd - ½ cup
  • Cream - 2 to 3 tblspn
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste
  • Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped
  • For Grinding:
  • Onion - 2 large chopped
  • Ginger - 4 cm chopped
  • Garlic - 6 cloves
  • Cashews - 20
  • Water - 1 cup

Instructions

  • Take cubed paneer in a bowl, add hot water over it and let it sit till needed.
  • In a pan, take onion and other ingredients given for grinding. Cook that for 10 mins. Now cool this and take it in a blender. Puree till smooth. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Add in whole spices and saute for a min.
  • Add in pureed onion mix and cook till it thickens.
  • Add in chilli and garam masala powder and give a good mix.
  • Pour whisked yogurt and mix well. Cook for few mins.
  • Add in water and bring it to a boil. Add in drained paneer and simmer for few mins.
  • Add in salt, sugar and cream to taste and mix well.
  • coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Serve.
