Tofu Paratha recipe with step by step pictures. This recipe is prepared mainly using wheat flour and for stuffing its tofu and carrot. It can be served with any side dish of your choice.

Ingredients

  • For Dough:
  • 1 cup + extra if needed Wheat Flour / Atta extra if needed
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tblspn + for making paratha Oil
  • as needed Water
  • For Stuffing:
  • 1 cup crumbled Tofu / Soya Paneer
  • ½ grated finely Carrot
  • 1 chopped finely Green Chilli
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
  • ½ tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1.5 tsp Chat Masala Powder
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnishing Coriander leaves / Cilantro

Instructions

  • Start by making dough, take flour, salt, oil in a bowl. rub well so oil is mixed in with the flour.
  • Add in water slowly and knead to a soft smooth dough. Cover the dough with a bowl and set aside for 30 mins.
  • Now make the filling…Take all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  • Now divide the dough into equal portions and start making parathas..
  • Take the dough and divide into equal balls. Take two balls and roll it out lightly.
  • Place one rolled paratha near you, spread some filling over it, cover with other paratha, seal the edges, use a rolling pin to roll the paratha even more.
  • Heat a tawa, put the paratha on hot tawa, cook for few sec, flip over, spread some oil over it, spread again, spread some more oil over it and cook on both sides till golden.
  • Remove and serve hot.
  • Remove to a insulated container and serve with any side dish of your choice..
