Ingredients

  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour / Maida
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda / Cooking Soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • ½ tsp Dry Ginger Powder
  • ½ tsp Cloves Powder Krambu podi
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • ¾ cup Soft Unsalted Butter
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 1 Egg
  • Granulated Sugar for rolling the cookies

Instructions

  • Take flour, cinnamon, cloves, salt, baking soda and ginger in a bowl and mix well.
  • Take butter, sugar in a bowl and beat with a electric beater till creamy.
  • Add in 1 egg and honey, whip again till creamy.
  • Add in flour mix in and mix well.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and chill it for 30 mins to 1 hour in fridge.
  • Preheat oven to 190 degree C in the last 10 mins of chilling.. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Use an ice cream scoop to scoop the dough and shape it into smooth ball, roll it out and place it in granulated sugar and roll it well.
  • Place it in a plate and flatten it lightly.
  • Now pop this in fridge and chill for another 15 mins.
  • Now arrange this in baking sheet and bake for 9 to 11 mins.
  • Remove this from oven and cool it for 10 mins, now remove this to a cooling rack and cool completely.
  • Enjoy with a cup of milk.
