Ingredients

Split yellow moong dal / Pasi paruppu

cups
Cabbage
▢

tsp
Turmeric powder / Manjal Podi

2 to 3
Green Chillies
▢

Tamarind Pulp
▢
Salt to taste
▢

Red Chilli flakes

Ghee
▢

Cumin Seeds

Water as needed

Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
Instructions
▢
Take dal in a bowl and wash it well.
▢
Add in cabbage, chillies, turmeric and water and bring it to a boil. Simmer the flame and cook for 20 mins till it is done.
▢
Now add in salt, sugar, tamarind, chilli flakes and tamarind. Mix well. Simmer for 5 more mins.
▢
Now heat ghee and crackl some cumin seeds. Pour this over the dal and mix well.
▢
Top with lots of coriander leaves,
▢
Serve with rice.
