Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour / Maida
  • Salt a pinch
  • 1 tbsp Ghee or Butter
  • Water as needed
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Water
  • Oil for Deep Frying

Instructions
 

  • Take flour, salt, ghee in a bowl and rub with your fingers till it resembles a coarse crumb. Add water slowly and knead to a dough.
  • Let it rest for 30 mins or so.
  • Now take a small portion of dough and roll it little thin. Now cut it into small diamond shape.
  • Heat oil for deep frying, drop the diamond in hot oil and fry till golden. Drain and set aside.
  • Now make the syrup. Heat sugar and water in a pan, mix well till sugar is melted, now boil it and cook till two string consistency. It will be thick.
  • Now add the fried diamond cuts in this and coat it well. As it cools the sugar will harden.
  • Cool this completely and store it in a air tight container. This stays good for 2 weeks..
