Ingredients

cup
All Purpose Flour / Maida
▢
Salt a pinch
▢
1
tbsp
Ghee or Butter
▢
Water as needed
▢
½
cup
Sugar
▢
¼
cup
Water
▢
Oil for Deep Frying
Instructions
▢
Take flour, salt, ghee in a bowl and rub with your fingers till it resembles a coarse crumb. Add water slowly and knead to a dough.
▢
Let it rest for 30 mins or so.
▢
Now take a small portion of dough and roll it little thin. Now cut it into small diamond shape.
▢
Heat oil for deep frying, drop the diamond in hot oil and fry till golden. Drain and set aside.
▢
Now make the syrup. Heat sugar and water in a pan, mix well till sugar is melted, now boil it and cook till two string consistency. It will be thick.
▢
Now add the fried diamond cuts in this and coat it well. As it cools the sugar will harden.
▢
Cool this completely and store it in a air tight container. This stays good for 2 weeks..
