Ingredients
▢
Poha / Aval / Flattened Rice - 2 cups
▢
Potato - 1 medium size peeled and cubed
▢
Oil - 2 tblspn
▢
Onion - 1 small chopped finely
▢
Green Chillies - 3 to 5 chopped finely
▢
Peanuts - 2 tblspn
▢
Chana Dal / Kadalai Paruppu - 1 tsp
▢
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - 1 tsp
▢
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
▢
Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi - ¼ tsp
▢
Curry leaves a sprig
▢
Salt to taste
▢
Sugar- ½ tsp + ½ tsp
▢
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp + ½ tsp
▢
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
▢
Lemon Juice to taste
▢
Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
▢
Water - ½ cup
Instructions

Take poha in a bowl. Add in water, salt, ½ tsp sugar, ½ tsp turmeric and mix well. Set aside.

Now heat oil in a kadai. Add in peanuts and roast till golden. Add in mustard, chana dal, urad dal, hing and mix well. Fry till it turns golden.

Add in onions, curry leaves and green chilli. Add in little salt and sugar along with turmeric. Mix well.

Now add in potatoes and chilli powder, Mix well. Cover and simmer till potatoes are cooked.
▢
Now increase the heat and roast the potatoes till it gets golden.
▢
Now add in the poha and toss well. Once everything is heated up, add in coriander leaves and lemon juice.
▢
Mix well and serve.
