Ingredients

  • Coconut Oil - 1 tblspn
  • Onion - 1 medium size sliced thinly
  • Curry leaves a handful
  • For Marination:
  • Prawns - 250 grams chopped into small pieces
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice or Vinegar - 1 tblspn
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • For Grinding:
  • Coconut - 1 cup grated
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Dry Red Chillies - 2
  • Fennel Seeds / Saunf / Sombu - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 small piece

Instructions

  • Take marination ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Leave it to marinate for 10 mins.
  • Take grinding ingredients in a blender and make it into a coarse mix, dont add water to this.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add in onions, curry leaves and give s quick toss. Add in the prawns and cook on high heat till the water leached from the prawns dries up.
  • Now add in coconut masala and toss well till it is well roasted.
  • Now serve.
