  • Egg-5
  • Onion-1 sliced into rounds
  • Oil-2 tblspn
  • Sugar-1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • For Sambal:
  • Dry Red chilli-4 soaked in water
  • Shallots / Sambar Onion-5
  • Garlic-5 cloves
  • Ginger-1 inch piece
  • Tamarind juice-1 tblspn


  • Grind all the ingrediants for the sambal to a smooth paste.
  • In a wok heat oil,Add in the sambal paste and cook till oil separates.Season with salt and sugar.Add in tamarind juice and cook for 3 min.
  • Add in sliced onion and toss well for 2 min.
  • Now add in the eggs and mix till well coated.
  • Serve with rice.
