Ingredients

  • Butter - 2 tblspn
  • Shahi Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Chicken - 500 grams
  • Cream - 1 cup I used amul cream
  • Water as needed
  • Lemon Juice to taste
  • For Masala:
  • Oil - 1 tblspn
  • Cinnamon Stick / Pattai - 3 cm piece
  • Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf - 2 tsp
  • Ginger - 4 cm piece
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Onion - 1 large chopped
  • Green Chillies - 4 to 5 chopped
  • Mint Leaves - 2 cups

Instructions

  • Heat little oil in a pan, add in cinnamon and fennel seeds. Let them sizzle.
  • Add in ginger, garlic and saute for a min.
  • Now add in onions, chillies and saute till golden.
  • Add in mint leaves and cook till it is wilted. Cool it down.
  • Take it in a blender and puree till smooth.
  • Now in the same pan, heat some butter, add in shahi jeera and sizzle it.
  • Add in the pureed masala and salt. Cook till butter separates.
  • Now add in chicken and toss well.
  • Cover and simmer this till the chicken is cooked. Add water as needed.
  • Now add in cream and lemon juice and mix well.
  • Serve with naan..
