Ingredients
  

  • All Purpose Flour / Maida - ¾ cup / 90 grams
  • Cocoa Powder - ½ cup / 50 grams
  • Baking Soda / Cooking Soda - ½ tsp
  • Baking Powder - ¾ tsp
  • Eggs - 2
  • Sugar - 1 cup / 200 grams
  • Oil - ⅓ cup / 80 ml
  • Vanilla Essence - 2 tsp
  • Buttermilk - ½ cup see below
  • Vanilla Buttercream
  • Chocolate Buttercream

*My 1 cup measures 240 ml

    *If you don't have buttermilk, take ½ cup of milk and add 1.5 tsp of vinegar or lemon juice to it and mix well. Let this sit for 5 to 10 mins. Now use this.

      Instructions
       

      • Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line 12 cup muffin tray with cupcake cases and set aside.
      • Take flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder in a sifter and sieve well.
      • Take oil, sugar, vanilla in a bowl and mix well. Add in eggs and give a good mix.
      • Add in buttermilk and whisk well.
      • Now add in the sifted flour mix and fold gently..
      • Use an ice cream scoop to scoop the batter and fill the cupcake cases.
      • Bake for 18 to 20 mins until a toothpick inserted comes clean.
      • Take the tray from oven and let it cool completely.
      • Meanwhile make a batch of vanilla and chocolate buttercream.
      • When the cupcakes are cooled, pipe the cream over the cupcakes and top with sprinkles.
      • Serve.
