Tawa Mushroom Recipe

Ingredients

  • Mushrooms - 200 grams chopped
  • Onion - 1 large sliced thinly
  • Capsicum - 1.5 cup chopped I used green, yellow and red
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tblspn + 1 tsp
  • Unsour Thick Curd / Greek Yogurt - 3 tblspn
  • For grinding:
  • Cashews - 10
  • Poppy Seeds / Kasa Kasa /Khus Kush - 2 tblspn

Instructions

  • Soak cashews and poppy seeds in warm water for 10 mins.
  • Heat 1 tblspn oil in a pan, add in onions and fry till golden, remove this to a blender.
  • Drain the cashew poppy seed mix and add it to the blender, add very little water and make it into a fine paste.
  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
  • Add in capsicum and saute for a min.
  • Then add in the ground masala and cook for 2 more mins.
  • Add in salt, chilli and turmeric powder, mix.
  • Add in well beaten curd and mix well.
  • Now to this add in the mushroom and toss well in the masala.
  • Cook this for 6 to 8 mins or untill the mushroom is done.
  • Serve with rice or roti.
